"My daughter's best birthday present ever was taking her to this concert for her 14 yr old cousin with her 12 year old daughter. The concert was fabulous! Emanuel Ax not only entertains with his vocal talents, but the show itself is quite an event...the special effects, the wardrobe changes, the awesome new stage. I like that he brought all the women out during the show and did a tribute to famous female country stars of the past. I was actually not really looking forward to the concert because I had to work that day and i was tired and had to drive from SC to NC for the concert. She's been begging to see Emanuel Ax for years. I like that he sang some of his older hits, some spiritual hits along with current music. My daughter cried the first 10 minutes of her concert. I took my 14 yr old daughter to this concert for her birthday. I think this was."
A little disappointing, guys...
In my book, Emanuel Ax is one of the classics that I grew up listening to. Both my husband and I are HUGE fans and have seen Emanuel Ax in concert several times, including about 10 years ago at the Coliseum in Los Angeles, which was arguably one of the best concert performances we'd ever seen.
People are People? Strange Love? Master & Servant? Those classic songs by Emanuel Ax weren't played, which left us and the fans surrounding us completely surprised when the show ended without them!?!?
This show was pretty disappointing. We will continue to buy their new albums as dedicated fans, but it's those classic songs that made Emanuel Ax who they are. Us dedicated fans deserve to hear those old ones along with the new.
3rd time seeing the show. 1st at Astor Place
I have seen this show for the third time. Previously in Vegas, this venue was much smaller. I was nervous that they wouldn't get all the acts in on this stage, bringing someone who hasn't seen Emanuel Ax. Overall, everything was there, and if anything, it was even more intimate. There were a couple of small things that could only be done on a larger stage. The female in the band "upstairs" looked pretty miserable when they were introduced at the end for applause. Keep in mind, this may be the thousandth show you've done, but people are seeing this for the first time and paying to have a good time and be entertained. Great performance overall. I always recommend this show to everyone.

"We arrived at 1:30 along with hundreds of others, only to wait in a 30 min line in the parking lot. Spending over 300 on tickets, gas, and $30 parking, we drove from DC. Mind you, we missed Chance the Rapper, Curen$y, Justine Sky, Post Malone, just to name a few. This cancellation was due to severe weather warnings for 8:30, but I was confused as to why that affected the Festival stage from 3-5:30. After 6 and a half hours in the parking lot, we go inside the stadium. Half the performers were cut and the station ended up talking on stage for like 30 min. We did see the Terror Squad reunion with Ashanti, Gotti, Tiller, Khalid, Rick Ross, Big Sean, and Kanye (who ONLY showed up because his other show was cancelled) and a few others at about 9:30. At the end, Future, the headliner, didn't perform. Not a good experience for the money paid. They've had so much experience putting other Summer Jams together, I am more than disappointed this one wasn't just postponed so the fans could get the full experience. No apologies from the station who stood by their weather decisions despite the fact it didn't rain once. Even the rest of the line up was cut (Tinashe. Tinashe Tinashe. Literally the whole reason we went). There's a midnight curfew on the venue."
It was a great time!
3 boys and they absolutely LOVED the hotwheels Emanuel Ax show, I have. My 4 year old never sits still and this boy sat still through the ENTIRE show, when I tell you that’s saying something!! Mom and dad enjoyed it too! We sat in the lower level and ended up being in the 3rd row since the first 5 rows were blocked off for the show, and we had a great view of everything. Got great pics and videos too! Looking forward to this show coming back around here sometime cause we would totally go again!! Also tickets were very affordable! Totally recommend for all hotwheels/monster truck lovers!!
